From what I can tell, Donald Trump bounced from failed business venture to failed business venture until he discovered he was better playing a successful businessman on a reality tv show than he was actually being a successful businessman.
I can only venture a guess on this, however, since we don’t actually know his real net worth or to what extent he has been given tax write-offs for financial loss.
You would think that, given how much Donald Trump bases his qualifications to be the president on his business acumen and wealth, he would be trumpeting his net worth and tax documents from the rooftops, instead of fighting the courts to avoid giving an inch in financial transparency.
But no, Donald Trump is what he has always been, an entertainer. His “4d chess” amounts to Professional Wrestling theatrics, reality tv drama, and soap opera palace intrigue. He keeps everyone from thoughtful analysis and consideration on principle by keeping the focus on him, sucking out all the oxygen in the room by being the loudest most obnoxious voice in the room. He’s an entertainer and his brand is chaos.
