Donald Trump, the reality TV President, continues to demonstrate day-by-day that he’s anything but #AmericaFirst. He is #TrumpFirst.

Trump is a guy who can build a brand and sell it. His greatest accomplishment has been his own personal brand and the image he has cultivated of a wealthy and successful business leader who can still speak man to man like an ordinary guy and as a leader who’s willing to tell it how it is.
Unfortunately for the Republican Party, and the country, Trump’s brand and his image are nothing but an act. A house of cards, a Potemkin village, a reality show with written dialogue and a directed narrative.
Trump’s supporters believe they’ve elected a fighter, someone who will fight tooth and nail for America, even if it has to get a little ugly. They cheer and rant “America First,” thinking that because Trump is rich and wealthy and without any previous political experience, he couldn’t possibly be in it for anyone but them and their idea of America. The reality is, Trump only cares about continuing to build his brand and inflate his image.
Trump doesn’t care about solving any of the country’s problems, and most of his actions have been calculated only to troll his political enemies while getting shouts of “hell yeah” from his rabid supporters. Trump is an actor, a reality tv star, and frankly, an impostor whose conservatism is little more than an adopted caricature of what the society of elite New York Democrats, with whom Trump has mingled most of his life, believe conservatives are.
The grand charade of all this is that Trump has never been, and never will be, #AmericaFirst. He has been and will continue to always be #TrumpFirst.
