A One-Two Punch Has Made American Carnage All Too Real

Political movements on both sides of the aisle have placed narrative over common sense and severely wounded the economic outlook of inner-city African Americans for years to come.

This article is from The Editor’s Corner, with insights, short-posts, links, and general ramblings from Editor/Owner Justin Stapley.

America’s inner-cities, already on life support as they faced the COVID shut down, have been curb-stomped and gutted by the riots and violence of recent weeks.

Many of the businesses that have been vandalized will never be able to re-open, leaving inner-cities without jobs or commerce.

The economic outlook of African Americans in the inner-city is taking a tremendous hit. It could take years for inner-city commerce to recover from 2020, if it ever can, only compounding the serial poverty of the African American community.

The African American community has taken a one-two punch from America’s political interests.

They’ve taken a left hook from a President who failed to take seriously the threat of COVID. Now, they’ve taken an upper-cut from progressive virtue signallers who have failed to condemn violence and vandalism amid the unrest of recent weeks.
